Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco's Collaborative Effort on the Dawnwalker Saga
Further Dawnwalker Details Coming Soon
This newly announced collaboration sees Bandai Namco taking on global publishing duties for Dawnwalker, a mature-rated, story-driven AAA action RPG set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe. Launching in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox, Dawnwalker promises a compelling narrative experience. More details are anticipated in the coming months. Founded in 2022 in Warsaw, Poland, Rebel Wolves aims to redefine the RPG genre with its narrative focus.
Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating in a press release: "Rebel Wolves is a studio built on experience and fresh energy. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, known for its commitment to RPGs and willingness to support new IPs, is the ideal partner. We share the same values, and their history of publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself. We look forward to collaborating with them to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players worldwide."
Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco's VP of business development, highlighted the significance of this collaboration for their Western market strategy, saying, "This is a crucial step in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we will bring this inaugural title to a global audience."
Leading the creative charge is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who joined Rebel Wolves earlier this year as creative director. Jakub Szamalek, co-founder and narrative director, and a former CDPR writer with over nine years of experience, confirms that Dawnwalker will establish a new franchise. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, offering a non-linear narrative experience.
Tomaszkiewicz previously commented on the game's design, stating: "We aim to create an experience that allows for diverse choices and encourages experimentation upon replay. Working with such talented individuals to craft this experience is a privilege, and I'm eager for everyone to see the team's work."
