Rinascita is brimming with discoveries, including intricate puzzles like the Morph Paintings. These puzzles appear in two forms: Overflowing Palettes and simpler restoration tasks.
Morph Painting restoration puzzles are straightforward yet rewarding, offering valuable resources such as Astrites in Wuthering Waves. This guide outlines their mechanics, locations, and solutions.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
Restoring Morph Paintings involves placing the correct paintings on designated pedestals. Examine the pedestal descriptions, locate the matching portrait, and use your Levitator to position it. The game usually automatically equips the Levitator, but if not, press Tab/D-Pad Left to select it.
Currently, two such puzzles exist, integrated into the "Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise" and "Trials of Old" quests.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Shadows of the Past" questline in Wuthering Waves leads you through Thorncrown's three towers, including Resounding Rise, which features a Morph Painting puzzle. Solve it as follows (using the central painting as a reference):
- Swap the front-left and back-right paintings.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left pedestal.
- Move the painting behind the right chairs to the front-right pedestal.
Completing the puzzle reveals a chest, allowing you to progress.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The "Trials of Old" quest involves four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in Thessaleo Fells. The Trial of Wisdom contains a Morph Painting puzzle requiring paintings to be arranged on pedestals to tell a sequential story from left to right. The solution is shown in the image above.
A quick way to verify correct placement is to check if the painting frame illuminates upon insertion. This allows you to bypass the puzzle's mechanics.
