Wuthering Waves' Version 2.0 introduces significant changes to its elemental system, particularly with Elemental Effects. While elements previously offered buffs and resistances, the update allows for more direct interactions. This guide details these Elemental Effects.
All Elemental Status Effects and Debuffs
Elemental Effects, initially applied only by enemies, now impact players directly. Each element has a unique effect:
Elemental Effect | Effect Description |
---|---|
Havoc Bane | Stacks periodically (max 2). At 2 stacks, deals Havoc DMG and reapplies to nearby characters. |
Glacio Chafe | Reduces movement speed per stack (max 10 stacks). At 10 stacks, freezes the resonator; players can "Struggle" to speed up thawing. |
Spectro Frazzle | Stacks decrease to deal Spectro DMG (more stacks = more DMG). |
Fusion Burst | Stacks up to 10 (unless removed), then explodes dealing significant Fusion DMG. |
Aero Erosion | Periodic Aero DMG over time (more stacks = more DMG). |
Electro Flare | Reduces ATK based on stacks: 1-4 stacks (-5%), 5-9 stacks (-7% + Magnetized effect), 10 stacks (-10%). |
Resonators, Echoes, and Echo Sets Utilizing Elemental Effects
Currently, the application and benefit from Elemental Effects are limited.
Resonators Applying Elemental Effects:
- Spectro Rover: Post-Version 2.0 rework, Spectro Rover uniquely applies Elemental Effects. Its Resonance Skill's Resonating Spin variant applies 2 stacks of Spectro Frazzle and a Shimmer effect preventing stack decay, maximizing Spectro Frazzle buildup.
Echoes and Echo Sets:
Only one Echo set currently interacts with Elemental Effects:
- Eternal Radiance Echo Set: (2-piece) +10% Spectro DMG; (5-piece) Spectro Frazzle inflicts increases Crit. Rate by 20% for 15s; 10 stacks grant a 15% Spectro DMG Bonus for 15s.
- Nightmare Echo: Deals 273.60% Spectro DMG. DMG against Spectro Frazzle-inflicted enemies increased by 100%. Grants a 12% Spectro DMG Bonus to the equipped Resonator.
While the use of Elemental Effects is currently limited, future updates may expand their integration into Wuthering Waves' gameplay.
