在最近的Twitch直播中，Warhorse工作室的公关主管Tobias Stolz-Zwilling回应了玩家的担忧，明确表示KCD 2不会使用Denuvo DRM，也不会采用任何其他DRM系统。他解释了开发者收到的关于DRM的误传和混淆信息。

《王国之泪2》将于2025年2月在PC、PS5和Xbox Series X|S平台发布。游戏背景设定在中世纪波西米亚，围绕着一名铁匠学徒Henry展开，他的村庄遭受了毁灭性的命运。在KCD 2的Kickstarter众筹活动中，至少捐赠200美元的粉丝将获得游戏的免费副本。
