Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!
Get ready for a celestial upgrade! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, including a revamped minion lineup, new features, and a futuristic twist. Prepare for a Tavern experience unlike any other.
Technotavern Transformation:
Bob's Technotavern is getting a major overhaul. Season 9 resets ratings and eliminates Trinkets, replacing them with exciting Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero choice at the selection screen – perfect for escaping those undesirable options.
Minion Reveal Schedule:
Before the full launch, Hearthstone is unveiling new minions in stages:
- November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.
More New Additions:
Season 9 introduces three brand-new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are entering or leaving the pool, creating a dynamic meta.
Solo Battlegrounds games will also feature an adjusted damage cap: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.
Minion Rollout:
The full update goes live on December 3rd, initially including Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. Murlocs and Demons join the fray on December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
