How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Once you've completed the tutorial section in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* and gained access to the open world, head to Troskowitz and speak with the scribe Gaibl to initiate The Lion’s Crest. He'll present you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick’s polearm. You'll need to collect the necessary materials on your own, but you can craft the weapon at any blacksmith's forge.
The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution
The riddle you receive is as follows:
*“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still.”*
To begin solving this riddle, head to Trosky Castle where you'll find the Crone Tower and Maiden Tower. Exit the castle through the northern gates and proceed northwards into the forest.
Follow the road and keep an eye out on the left side for rocky formations with small crevices. Navigate through these crevices to reach a cave containing a chapel. Examine the cross on the rock next to the chapel to uncover the first piece of Brunswick’s Armour, along with two treasure maps that will guide you through the rest of the quest.
Map 1
Continue along the road that led you to the chapel, heading west until you reach a crossroads. From there, veer north into the woods to locate a wolf den. Search the trees just above the den to find a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick’s armour.
Map 2
The second map directs you to the Vidlak Pond outpost. Follow the path behind the fisherman’s house and watch for a large rock formation along the cliffs. Ascend to the rocks to discover a chest near a cross, holding the next piece of the armour.
Map 3
For the third map, fast travel to Zhelejov and proceed to the tavern, then exit the settlement. Cross the two bridges towards Tachov, but after the second bridge, take a small path towards the river and the forest. Follow this path to a hill and inspect the large tree at its summit to find some bones and a bag with another piece of the armour.
Map 4
The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Search the hill for rocks topped with a cross to locate the last piece of Brunswick’s armour.
