Loot filters in Path of Exile 2 are essential for managing the chaos of items dropping in droves. They streamline your looting experience by reducing screen clutter and highlighting the most valuable items, making your gameplay more efficient and enjoyable.
Navigating loot filters on consoles can be a bit tricky, but both PlayStation and Xbox players can benefit from them just like their PC counterparts. Here's a concise guide to help you set up and use loot filters on your console.
How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts
To utilize loot filters on the console versions of Path of Exile 2, you must link your console account to your Path of Exile account. This process is facilitated through the Path of Exile website. Follow these steps:
- Log in to the Path of Exile website.
- Click on your account name in the upper-left corner of the page.
- Select "Manage Account" on the right, below your profile name and avatar.
- In the "Secondary Login" section, click the Connect button for either Sony (PS) or Microsoft (Xbox).
Upon clicking the Connect button, you'll be prompted to log in with your existing PlayStation or Xbox account. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the linking process.
Finding and Using Loot Filters
After linking your accounts, return to your profile page on the website and click on the "Item Filters" button on the right side. Then, select the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink to open a new tab listing the best loot filters for Path of Exile 2.
From the drop-down box at the top of the list, switch to "PoE 2". Choose the filter that suits your needs, and click the "Follow" button on its page. For new players, we recommend starting with NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters for a balanced and user-friendly experience.
Once you've followed a filter on the website, launch Path of Exile 2 and navigate to the Options menu. Under the Game tab, you'll find the "Item Filter" option at the top. Select the filter you followed from the drop-down menu and click Save. Now, in-game items will be labeled, colored, or accompanied by sound effects according to the filter you've enabled, enhancing your overall gaming experience.
