Crystal Dynamics Unveils Exciting New Legacy of Kain Projects

Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker Collaborate on Legacy of Kain Encyclopedia

In collaboration with the UK's creative design studio Lost In Cult and Dutch art dealership Cook and Becker, Crystal Dynamics is expanding the Legacy of Kain universe. Ryan Brown of Lost In Cult expressed enthusiasm, saying, "We’re incredibly excited to be diving back into the world of Nosgoth with these two passion projects."

The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is an official encyclopedia that delves deep into the gothic realm of Nosgoth, the heart of the Legacy of Kain series. Authored by Nic Reuben from Rock Paper Shotgun, this encyclopedia offers a comprehensive guide to the world's locations, factions, and inhabitants, alongside a detailed timeline of the epic saga between Kain and Raziel.

Beyond its lore, The Book of Nosgoth will feature behind-the-scenes content, including original concept art, sketches, maps, and exclusive developer interviews. It will provide an in-depth look at the creation of all five Legacy of Kain titles, giving fans a unique glimpse into the series' development.

An Official Legacy of Kain TTRPG Set to Launch

The second project, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, is a tabletop role-playing game set during the Sarafan Order’s crusade against the vampire menace in Nosgoth. Employing the acclaimed MÖRK BORG ruleset, this TTRPG promises a streamlined, intense gameplay experience where players take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests.

With six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, an official bestiary of nocturnal creatures, and the expansive landscape of Nosgoth, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan offers players the chance to explore vampire hunts, uncover hidden histories, and venture into the spectral realm.
