In Limbus Company, Lunacy serves as the premium currency essential for acquiring new Identities and EGOs, functioning as the game's primary gacha currency. To maximize your enjoyment by unlocking various character variants, amassing Lunacy is crucial.
The method of earning Lunacy in Limbus Company mirrors that of many gacha games. Initially, you'll receive a substantial amount, but as you advance in your account, the rate at which you acquire Lunacy will decrease significantly.
How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company
For newcomers, diving into the main story is the most effective way to earn Lunacy. Completing each chapter can reward you with approximately 390 Lunacy, and achieving an EX rating on enough missions within a chapter can add another 260 Lunacy to your total. To EX clear a mission, you must fulfill all the EX objectives specific to that mission. Additionally, securing an EX clear for the first time on any mission grants an extra 40 Lunacy, so strive to meet those objectives.
First-time clears of Luxcavation stages also provide Lunacy, though these rewards are one-time only.
Once you've exhausted all available story quests, your Lunacy earnings will begin to decline. At this point, your best strategies for accumulating Lunacy include:
- Completing or EX clearing event stages.
- Engaging in Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
- Uptying Identities.
- Collecting battle pass rewards.
- Making direct purchases.
Boosted Mirror Dungeons are likely to be your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can participate in up to three of these dungeons weekly, earning 750 Lunacy in total. These dungeons reset every Wednesday, and given their difficulty, it's wise to bring your strongest Identities.
Events offer another excellent opportunity to earn Lunacy, albeit for a limited time. Participating in events whenever possible is advisable, and be sure to review all event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any benefits.
Uptying involves enhancing your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. As you progress through Uptie tiers, your characters become more powerful, and reaching Uptie Tier 3 rewards you with 40 Lunacy. Although this method is not infinite like Mirror Dungeons, it serves as a long-term strategy for Lunacy accumulation. Continue to level up your characters and gather Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.
Lastly, the game's battle passes offer a wealth of resources for improving your Sinners, including Lunacy. While the free tracks provide some rewards, accessing all the benefits requires purchasing the premium track with real money.
