Just one month following its launch and inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a new trailer celebrating Avowed. This trailer features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, emphasizing the warm reception of this action-RPG.
The latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly enhance performance, with NVIDIA reporting up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. Furthermore, the developers have hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the game's future support and roadmap, which are expected in the coming weeks.
Beyond technical enhancements, this update also improves the player experience. Players will now gain an additional talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced will receive these points retroactively upon loading the game. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running. Additionally, a new accessibility option has been introduced, which increases font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game texts.
While Avowed did not completely silence critics, it has still received strong reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," further cementing its status as a standout title from Obsidian.
