Ubisoft Mainz has recently provided exciting new insights into Anno 117: Pax Romana through a captivating trailer release. While initial announcements focused on the exploration of two distinct regions—Lazio and Albion—the latest preview reveals that Lazio serves as an introductory setting, setting the stage for the main action to unfold in Albion.
According to Creative Director Manuel Rainer, the serene environment of Lazio is disrupted by an unexpected catastrophe, prompting players to venture into uncharted territories. These territories are none other than Britain, known as Albion, which presents a harsh climate, rebellious local tribes, and the logistical challenge of being distant from Rome, making governance a complex task.
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, players take on the role of a governor, challenged to navigate these difficulties without solely relying on violence. Instead, fostering peace can be achieved by respecting and integrating local customs. A notable gameplay feature is the ability to customize ships, offering strategic choices between speed, enhanced by additional oarsmen, or firepower, bolstered by onboard archery turrets.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms.
