Stellar Blade's highly anticipated update, Patch 1.009, which included Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, unfortunately introduced several critical bugs. Shift Up, the developers, are working diligently on a hotfix.
Game-Breaking Bugs and the Upcoming Hotfix
Patch 1.009 caused significant problems for some players. A softlock prevents progression in a main quest within an earlier dungeon. Additionally, using the selfie camera in Photo Mode has resulted in game crashes for some, and new cosmetic items are not rendering correctly for Eve.
Shift Up advises players to avoid attempting to force quest progression. Waiting for the hotfix is crucial; attempts to bypass the issue might lead to a permanent softlock, even after the patch is released.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
The update delivers the exciting NieR: Automata collaboration DLC! This collaboration, born from the mutual respect and creativity of directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, brings 11 exclusive items. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, within Stellar Blade's world to acquire these rewards.
The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage its use.
To enhance Photo Mode, Eve receives four new outfits, and a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) alters the appearance of Tachy Mode. A "No Ponytail" option has been added to the settings for greater customization. Further improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various smaller bug fixes for a smoother experience.
