Reviver: Butterfly, the charming narrative game, is finally fluttering onto iOS and Android! Initially slated for a winter 2024 release, it's arriving slightly later than expected, launching on January 17th.
For those who missed our October coverage, Reviver tasks you with subtly guiding the destinies of two lovers, subtly influencing their lives to bring them together. You'll witness their journey from youth to old age, experiencing their story without ever directly interacting with them.
The game is launching under slightly different names: Reviver: Butterfly on iOS and Reviver: Premium on Android. Both versions are essentially the same experience, offering a heartwarming and intriguing premise. Its wholesome nature is subjective, but its unique approach to storytelling is undeniably captivating.
A Name Change and a Mobile Debut
The challenges of releasing indie games on mobile, especially with unique titles, are well-known. It seems Reviver's distinctive name caused a slight delay, but its arrival is nonetheless welcome news.
