Pokémon Go’s Road to Unova event is the perfect way to prepare for this year’s tour

Pokémon Go Tour: Unova is almost here! The global event kicks off March 1st and 2nd, but the excitement begins earlier with "Road to Unova," running February 24th to March 1st.

This pre-event offers a chance to prepare for the main event. Similar to last year's tour, Road to Unova lets you complete challenges and earn rewards before the main festivities begin. Whether you prefer wild Pokémon encounters, raids, or special challenges, there's something for everyone.

A free Tour Pass is automatically awarded, providing a progression track to earn Tour Points and unlock bonuses. For an enhanced experience, a Deluxe Tour Pass (optional purchase) offers upgraded rewards, including a Victini encounter.

ytShiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon Go debut during this period! Obtainable via a $4.99 Masterwork Research ticket (non-expiring), this research offers a chance to catch this coveted Pokémon. Additional tickets provide access to event-exclusive bonuses, including themed hatching and raid rewards, and unique avatar items.

Road to Unova features increased wild spawns of Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott, with lucky trainers encountering their evolved forms. Raids will feature a variety of Pokémon, including Genesect (various Drives), Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion. Five-star raids offer Pokémon with special backgrounds inspired by Pokémon Black and White.
