Pokemon GO Fest 2025 Host Cities Announced

Though the year has barely begun, Pokemon GO is already gearing up for its next Pokemon GO Fest, and has announced the three cities the event will be hosted in. Fans who make the effort to travel for Pokemon GO Fests every year will want to mark their calendars.

While the overall craze for Pokemon GO has diminished since the game's initial release, players all over the world still enjoy the title. One of the biggest events and celebrations to bring players together IRL is the Pokemon GO Fest, which is typically held in three cities, with a global equivalent following that. Pokemon GO Fests usually include new or rare Pokemon spawns, including those that are typically region-restricted or haven't been made available in Shiny form yet. Many fans consider it well worth it to attend the events, but for those that can't, the global version generally offers many of the same benefits.

For 2025, Pokemon GO has revealed that the three host cities for the event will be Osaka, Japan, followed by Jersey City, New Jersey, and wrapping up in Paris, France. Osaka will host the event from May 29 to June 1, followed by Jersey City from June 6-8, and finally, Paris, France from June 13-15. At this time, no further details have been made available about the event, including pricing or what the Pokemon GO Fests will feature this time around. 2024's Pokemon GO Fest May Shed Light on 2025 Plans

Many players are eager to learn what will be in store for the Pokemon GO Fest this year. In general, the prices of tickets for the event have remained fairly stable. In 2023 and 2024, players could expect to spend around ¥3500- ¥3600 to visit the Japanese event, while the Europe-based event actually saw a price decrease, with 2023 costing roughly $40 USD in 2023, but only $33 in 2024. This cost may largely be determined by the region. In the US, the price was $30 in both 2023 and 2024, while global prices were $14.99 across both years.

Pokemon GO has already begun and unveiled exciting new events and encounters for the year, but players aren't happy about everything. Pokemon GO Community Day ticket prices have increased from $1 to $2 USD, which has displeased the community. It may also hint at the potential for a price increase for the Pokemon GO Fest events. With Niantic already facing blowback from the playerbase regarding this relatively minor increase in price, the company will want to tread lightly, especially since in-person GO Fest attendees tend to be passionate fans who make the trip for the special event.
