Get ready, trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally debuting in Pokémon GO during the global GO Tour: Unova event, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. These highly anticipated legendary Pokémon will be available in raids, with a chance to snag their shiny forms. The event also offers special in-game backgrounds inspired by the classic Pokémon Black and White games.

The arrival of Black and White Kyurem fulfills a long-standing wish for many Pokémon GO players. While a surprise early release briefly occurred in 2023, their official debut has been eagerly awaited, promising a significant shift in the game's competitive landscape. Their popularity within the Pokémon franchise makes this a highly anticipated addition.

Niantic's announcement confirms their inclusion in the GO Tour: Unova event, perfectly themed around the Unova region featured in the original Black and White games. Beyond simply catching them in raids, players can also fuse Kyurem with Zekrom (for Black Kyurem) or Reshiram (for White Kyurem).

Fusion and Rewards:

This fusion process mirrors last year's Necrozma fusion event. To fuse, you'll need 1000 Volt Fusion Energy (for Black Kyurem) or 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy (for White Kyurem), along with 30 Kyurem Candy and 30 Zekrom/Reshiram Candy respectively. These fused forms boast unique attacks: Freeze Shock for Black Kyurem and Ice Burn for White Kyurem. The fusion is reversible at no cost. Raid battles against Kyurem provide the necessary Fusion Energy.

Completing these fusions unlocks exclusive event backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both backgrounds grants access to a third, unique background.
