Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Major Balance Changes
NetEase Games' latest developer update reveals exciting changes coming to Marvel Rivals in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces Dracula as the primary antagonist and welcomes the Fantastic Four to the roster. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debut immediately, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving six to seven weeks later.
The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," will also be introduced.
Significant balance adjustments are planned. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, will receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom are getting buffs to enhance their effectiveness. Wolverine and Storm will also see buffs, encouraging strategic utilization, while Cloak and Dagger receive adjustments to improve their team synergy. Jeff the Land Shark's ultimate ability will undergo tweaks to address inconsistencies between its warning and actual hitbox. While community feedback suggests Jeff's ultimate is overpowered, NetEase hasn't detailed major changes to it.
The developer update remained silent on adjustments to the Seasonal Bonus feature, a point of contention among players. Season 1 promises a substantial content update, generating considerable player anticipation.
