Xbox Game Pass Announces New Titles for Early January

Author : Nova Update:Mar 17,2025

Summary

Microsoft's January 2025 Xbox Game Pass lineup is here, bringing exciting new titles and saying goodbye to some familiar faces. Road 96, My Time at Sandrock, and Diablo are among the additions, while Exoprimal and Those Who Remain are departing.

Microsoft kicked off 2025 with its first Game Pass announcement, confirming earlier leaks and rumors. This follows recent significant changes to the service, including updated age restrictions and a revised rewards system.

Seven games are joining the service this month. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure, is available now across all Game Pass tiers. Six more—Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, Rolling Hills, UFC 5, and Diablo—arrive later in January, with most launching on January 8th and two on the 14th.

New Xbox Game Pass Games for January 2025:

  • Road 96 (Available January 7th)
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview) (Available January 8th)
  • My Time at Sandrock (Available January 8th)
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders (Available January 8th)
  • Rolling Hills (Available January 8th)
  • UFC 5 (Available January 14th - Game Pass Ultimate only)
  • Diablo (Available January 14th - Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)

Note that Diablo and UFC 5 are exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass subscribers. Lightyear Frontier, currently in early access, is available with a standard subscription. New Game Pass Ultimate perks, including in-game items for various titles, are also available as of January 7th.

Conversely, six games are leaving Game Pass on January 15th: Common'hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain.

This is just the first half of January's updates. Stay tuned for the second half's announcement, coming soon!
