World of Warcraft players can now personalize their character selection screens with collectible campsites! Patch 11.1 introduces four new campsites, with more planned for future updates. This builds upon the Warbands system from World of Warcraft: The War Within, adding another layer of customization.
Blizzard recently revealed this new personalization option, allowing players to set up multiple campsites with customizable names and unlockable backgrounds. Now, with Patch 11.1 on the Public Test Realm, players have a closer look at these new backgrounds and their acquisition methods. Beyond the original Adventurer's Rest, four new campsites await: Ohn'ahran Overlook, Cultists' Quay, Freywold Spring, and Gallagio Grand Gallery. WoW content creator MrGM has already showcased these campsites and their unlock methods in a helpful video.
New Campsites in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1
The Ohn’ahran Overlook (featuring the Ohn’ahran Plains from Dragonflight) is unlocked simply by logging in after Patch 11.1. The Cultists’ Quay (located in the Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall) is earned through the Season 2 Delver’s Journey. Freywold Spring (from the village of the same name) and the Gallagio Grand Gallery (featured in Patch 11.1's Liberation of Undermine raid) are unlocked by completing the "All That Khaz" and "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievements, respectively.
These campsites and their unlock methods are accessible via a new tab in the Collections pane, allowing players to easily preview and unlock them. The character select screen now features a dedicated campsite tab, enabling players to select their preferred campsite or randomize between favorites.
This customizable character selection screen expands upon the Warbands system from World of Warcraft: The War Within, showcasing Blizzard's commitment to ongoing innovation. Players can anticipate future campsite additions alongside other collectibles like mounts and pets—potentially through new content, old areas, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the cash shop.
