War Thunder Mobile's Open Beta for Aircraft Battles Takes Flight!
Gaijin Entertainment has launched the open beta for aircraft battles in War Thunder Mobile, delivering intense aerial combat. This update introduces over 100 planes from three nations (with more to come!), expanding the game beyond its previous naval and ground support aircraft involvement. The beta features a full-fledged aerial tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.
Dive into the Skies: A Closer Look
Currently, players can pilot iconic aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. Players can focus on a single nation's tech tree or diversify their fleet by progressing through multiple. Top-tier aircraft can be acquired via blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event slated for early October.
The new Aviation campaign provides access to the aircraft hangar, where players can research tech trees, upgrade crews, and manage their squadrons of up to four planes. Aircraft customization includes modifying armaments.

Mastering the Aircraft Hangar
The aircraft hangar serves as your central hub. Here, you can manage vehicles, select camouflage, review your tech tree, and invite friends to your squad. Each aircraft slot offers options to swap vehicles, modify armaments, or upgrade crews. Squadron formation is flexible, allowing combinations of aircraft regardless of class, nation, or rank.
