The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, featuring over 90,000 competitors vying for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. Open Qualifiers began February 13th, providing a platform for emerging talent to compete against established esports organizations. This international event, the first of its kind for PUBG Mobile Esports in 2025, is exclusively open to amateur teams, ensuring fresh faces take center stage.
Teams including at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, aspiring squads will fight for a place in the PMGO Prelims, facing off against top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers. Twelve teams will then earn a spot in the PMGO Main Event, challenging PUBG Mobile's elite professionals.
Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event berths based on their impressive PMGC 2024 performances. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers run until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC returning later in 2025.
