Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its servers. This isn't entirely unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.
Shutdown Date:
The game, launched in 2017, will conclude its run on December 9th, 2024. Until then, players can continue enjoying the remaining content.
Final Events:
Several events are planned before the shutdown:
- Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
- All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
- "Thanks For Everything" Campaign: November 1st - December 1st
Players can still collect cards, participate in summons, and utilize in-game items until the final day. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's later development introduced significant issues. The introduction of powerful characters (like Minato) fueled a power creep, alienating many players. Increased pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the decline of multiplayer features contributed to the game's eventual demise.
Despite its closure, the game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to try it.
