Get ready for Pokémon GO's spooky Halloween festivities! Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1 of the event, with a thrilling Part 2 to follow. Prepare for exciting features and chilling Pokémon encounters.
The Pokémon GO Halloween event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
Event Highlights:
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko's Full Belly and Hangry Modes dynamically shift its Aura Wheel attack type (Electric or Dark) mid-battle, while boosting its Attack stat.
During the event, encounter Morpeko more frequently in the GO Battle League's premium track, with continued availability from Rank 16 onwards (though remaining more common in premium battles).
A Spooky Atmosphere:
Enjoy a special Halloween-themed in-game atmosphere, including a remix of the classic Lavender Town music playing nightly.

Dynamax Gastly joins the fray in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
