Author : Aaron Update:Apr 14,2025

Marvel and Robert Downey Jr. have stirred excitement by hinting that the cast announcements for the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday are far from over. The recent reveal of 26 new cast members during a marathon livestream not only confirmed the start of production but also showcased the impressive lineup joining Robert Downey Jr., who transitions from Iron Man to the formidable Doctor Doom.

Among the notable additions, fans were thrilled to see Channing Tatum returning as the beloved X-Men character, Gambit. However, the absence of several key MCU figures such as Tom Holland's Spider-Man, Chris Evans' Captain America, and other stalwarts like Hulk, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, and Rhodey has left fans buzzing with speculation. Similarly, the lack of prominent X-Men characters like Deadpool, Wolverine, Storm, and Jean Grey has sparked discussions and a bit of disappointment among the fanbase.

Despite the initial omissions, hope remains alive. Robert Downey Jr. took to Instagram to tease that the cast list is just the beginning. "That's what u call a deep bench of talent," he remarked, suggesting that more announcements are on the horizon. Marvel echoed this sentiment in the comments, promising "there's always room for more," while the Russo Brothers, the film's directors, cryptically added, "It's time…"
