The anticipation for the next season of *Daredevil* is building, and the creative minds behind the series are already contemplating future possibilities, including a potential reunion of the street-level heroes known as The Defenders. In an extensive profile featured in Entertainment Weekly (EW), Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming and TV, expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of bringing together Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist once again.
While no plans have been officially confirmed, Winderbaum shared with EW, "It's certainly exciting to be able to play in that sandbox… Obviously, we don't have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book, [where] if you can draw it, you can do it. We're dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television." He further elaborated, "But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring."
*Daredevil: Born Again* is set to be a direct continuation of the story that began on Netflix. The platform previously hosted its own Marvel universe, albeit on a smaller scale, with shows like *Jessica Jones*, *Iron Fist*, and *Luke Cage*. Winderbaum's comments suggest that *Daredevil: Born Again* could serve as a launchpad to bring these characters back into the fold on Disney's terms through Disney Plus. The inclusion of Jon Bernthal's Punisher in the new season marks another successful transition of a Netflix hero to the Disney platform.
As fans eagerly await the premiere of *Daredevil: Born Again* on March 4, the potential for the series to connect with the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) remains a topic of speculation and excitement.
