In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, your canine companion, Mutt, plays a significant role, but he mysteriously disappears early on. This guide reveals how to reunite with him.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Mutt's Location
While a side quest involves finding Mutt, this guide provides a shortcut. He's located near a wolf cave southwest of the Nomads' Camp, just east of the river bathing spot. The image below pinpoints his exact location.

The easiest route is fast traveling to the Nomads' Camp. From there, follow the path southwest into the forest, leading you directly to the cave. You'll hear Mutt whining as you approach. Following the sound will reveal Mutt and a pack of wolves.

Approaching triggers a cutscene introducing Mutt and the wolves, and a tutorial on commanding him in battle. You can choose to fight or flee. While the wolves aren't overly challenging, defeating them offers a handy skill-leveling opportunity.
After the wolf encounter, Mutt becomes your loyal companion. Hold L1 while facing him to interact, allowing you to feed him or send him home.
Finding Mutt During the "Invaders" Side Quest
Interestingly, you might stumble upon Mutt's location during the "Invaders" side quest, specifically if you interact with the Cumans. After drinking with them, following Vasko uphill for more liquor leads directly to the cave, triggering the cutscene. However, attempting this while drunk and in the dark significantly increases the difficulty.
It's highly recommended to rescue Mutt *before* continuing the "Invaders" quest. Dealing with wolves while drunk and in darkness is considerably harder, and even fleeing could result in accidental death.
