Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of side quests, many enriching the game's narrative and character development. This guide details how to begin and complete the "Bad Blood" quest.
How to Start "Bad Blood" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Progressing through the main quest involving finding Mutt will eventually lead you to a clearing near Bozhena's hut. Henry will suggest checking with Bozhena. Speak to her about Mutt; she'll reveal her daughter Pavlena is missing. Agreeing to help initiates the "Bad Blood" quest.
Gather Information
Your investigation begins in Troskowitz. Talk to Bailiff Thrush, then Innkeeper Betty at the tavern. This provides crucial background on Bozhena, Pavlena, and the reasons for their ostracization from the village.
Next, find Woodcutter Dushko. He'll direct you to Roman's house, requiring lockpicking (save beforehand!). Examine Pavlena's basket inside. Returning to Dushko yields another clue, leading you to a clearing near Roman's house—a favorite spot for the couple.
Search the Scene
Follow the bloody trail from Roman's house downhill towards the stream, turning left at the large boulders. You'll discover Roman's body. Continue upwards and speak with Hogherd Hugo, then return to the Troskowitz farm and talk to Hired Hand Straw.
A successful dialogue check with Straw reveals information about Jakesh and the events surrounding Roman and Pavlena. You can then speak with Thrush to decide how to proceed with Straw before moving on. Head to the rocks south of Zhelejov to continue your investigation.
Confront Ota

Navigate around the large boulder in the objective area to find a hidden path and ladder. At the top, you'll find Ota and Pavlena. High Charisma is beneficial here. The dialogue options "What's your name?", "Let her go and I'll let you go," and "I'll put in a good word for you with His Lordship" will likely convince Ota to release Pavlena, who will then kill him. Speak with Pavlena and return to Bozhena together. She'll then request you kill Jakesh.
Kill Jakesh or Make Peace

The quest's climax involves a choice: kill Jakesh or broker peace. Find Jakesh at his child's grave. You can kill him or attempt negotiation. Killing Bozhena is also a possibility, ending the quest regardless of your choice.
Should You Kill Jakesh?
Killing Jakesh lowers your reputation in Troskowitz but significantly boosts it with Bozhena and Pavlena, unlocking new dialogue with Pavlena and rewarding you with Roman's gift to her.
Sparing Jakesh and achieving peace yields 100 groschen from Jakesh. You can keep the money or share it with Bozhena, who will then allow her and Pavlena to return to the settlement.
