"Canker" is an engaging side quest you can embark on early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, and it's a great way to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen. To access this quest, you must first complete "The Jaunt." Here's a detailed guide on how to successfully complete "Canker."
Pick Up the Canker Side Quest
Find and Kill Canker
The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled in the mountains, and it's easy to overlook because you need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for a fight before entering, as you'll confront multiple bandits, including Canker himself.
The bandits might flee depending on the order in which you take them down, but you must defeat most of them. Fortunately, Canker will not escape, ensuring you can complete the quest by killing him.
Finish the Quest and Return to Gules
After defeating Canker and his crew, loot Canker's body to find the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any additional items from him. Then, return to Gules to conclude the "Canker" quest.
Upon completing "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you must wait a full in-game day before you can pick up the next quest, "Handsome Charlie," which also involves Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules to start the new quest.
