New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all eagerly anticipating updates on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's spotlight shines on a beloved franchise: Like a Dragon. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed Hawaiian adventure.

The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima, a fan-favorite character, will boast two distinct combat styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The game promises a wealth of hidden islands and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement concluded the presentation: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This is a welcome change from the previous Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth title, where this feature was exclusive to the pricier edition, a decision that drew criticism from SEGA. This positive development means we only have to wait approximately six weeks until the official release.
