Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2
The Lunar New Year 2025 event, celebrating the Year of the Snake, runs until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time. This event offers Pokémon GO players a chance to celebrate the Chinese New Year with increased spawn rates of snake-themed Pokémon. Here's the list of Pokémon with boosted encounter rates:
- Ekans (Shiny can be found)
- Onix (Shiny can be found)
- Snivy (Shiny can be found)
- Darumaka (Shiny can be found)
- Dunsparce (Shiny can be found)

Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9
On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a dual Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet. This event offers increased encounters, evolution bonuses, and better odds of finding Shiny Pokémon. Evolving Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM will grant you an Escavalier with the Charged Attack Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively.
