Dune Awakening: Release Date & New Trailer Revealed

The highly anticipated survival MMO, Dune: Awakening, is set to launch on PC May 20th, capitalizing on the recent success of Denis Villeneuve's acclaimed film adaptations. Developer Funcom has confirmed the date, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the release and the recently unveiled gameplay trailer.

The trailer showcases the game's key features: the vast, unforgiving Arrakis desert landscape, intense combat sequences, the crucial element of base-building, and of course, the awe-inspiring sandworms—all essential components of a true Dune experience.

Players will step into the boots of a prisoner exiled to Arrakis, thrust into a perilous journey of escape and discovery. Their quest? To unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Fremen.

To ensure a smooth launch, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and character creator. This allows players to optimize their PC settings and craft their perfect character ahead of time, minimizing any delays on launch day.
