Dune: Awakening's sandworms: a force of nature, not a summonable weapon. Unlike the novels, players can't command sandworms with a thumper.

The developers have designed sandworms as independent NPCs with programmed behaviors and patrol routes. While you can't summon them, actions like moving through the sand or using a thumper might attract their attention – but there's no guarantee.
Riding sandworms, a hallmark of the Freman culture, is currently absent. The developers attribute this omission to constraints imposed by the Dune film franchise.
Future updates might introduce Freman-related content, potentially including sandworm riding, but this remains uncertain.
Dune: Awakening's PC launch is set for May 20th, with console releases to follow.
