Given Nintendo's recent push into the mobile gaming market, it's no surprise that some previously Switch-exclusive titles are making their way to smartphones. One such title is the quirky and surreal RPG, The New Denpa Men, which is set to return to mobile devices on March 10th, according to Gematsu.
Originally a 3DS favorite, The New Denpa Men used augmented reality (AR) through the 3DS camera to let players collect the titular Denpa Men from the real world and battle enemies in dungeons. This AR feature is reportedly making a comeback in the new mobile release, promising an engaging experience for players on iOS and Android.
While The Denpa Men series may not be as iconic as Mario or Zelda, it has carved out a niche on various Nintendo platforms over the years. Developer Genius Sonority isn't new to mobile either, having released the original version of The New Denpa Men on mobile before its remaster on the Nintendo Switch.
The original mobile release was exclusive to Japan, but the Switch version expanded to a global audience. With this latest mobile iteration, there's hope for a worldwide release, allowing more players to dive into this unique RPG experience.
