We gave the AMD Radeon RX 9070 an impressive score of 8/10. Priced the same as the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, the RX 9070 outperforms it in most of the games we tested and comes with more VRAM (16GB vs 12GB), potentially making it more future-proof. Our tests also showed that it consumes about the same amount of power as the RTX 5070.

"The AMD Radeon RX 9070 is an outstanding 1440p graphics card that makes the competition almost irrelevant. It delivers exceptional 1440p performance, often achieving high refresh rates even without frame generation, and includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. The only drawback is its proximity in performance to the Radeon RX 9070 XT."

We rated the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT a perfect 10/10. Despite being $150 cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the 9070 XT surpassed it in several of our game tests. In some benchmarks, the difference was stark. Like the RX 9070, it also boasts 16GB of VRAM. However, it does consume more power and runs hotter than the RTX 5070 Ti on average.
