Black Ops 6 Introduces a Fresh Zombies Map
No Amalgams on This One
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode with the fifth new map, adding even more excitement to the game. A tantalizing sneak peek was shared on the official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account and by Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio’s X on March 12, 2025. The image showcased the front of a grand, yet battered, mansion, complete with visible damage, flaming wreckage of an army car, and ominous black smoke billowing from within.
Accompanying the image is a caption that reads, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" and the "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a well-known character from the series, played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given that Black Ops 6 is a remake, it's no surprise to see Eddie returning to the fray.
Sharp-eyed fans have identified this new map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated by the teaser image. This timeline aligns seamlessly with the narrative from the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the story.
One notable aspect of this new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies, as confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram account. When a user expressed their anticipation of facing "20 amalgams on this map too," the developers responded with a simple, "Nope." Known for their high HP and powerful attacks, the absence of these Elite class enemies could offer players a smoother gameplay experience on this map.
