In 2022, Innersloth transformed the gaming experience for Among Us fans by introducing a virtual reality version that received widespread acclaim. Now, the studio is pushing boundaries again with Among Us 3D, offering a fresh twist on the beloved game through a fully immersive first-person perspective, without the need for a VR headset.
Players can look forward to the familiar core mechanics of Among Us, but tailored for traditional gaming setups. A teaser trailer provides a sneak peek into how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will unfold from the player's viewpoint. Excitingly, fans will have the opportunity to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
Although an official release date has not been disclosed yet, Among Us 3D is set to launch primarily on PC. It will be optimized for keyboard and mouse controls, featuring an updated interface to improve accessibility. Additionally, cross-play functionality will enable players of Among Us 3D to join forces with those on Among Us VR, though the original Among Us will continue to operate separately from these versions.
To enhance the player experience further, Innersloth is set to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This addition is designed to expand customization options, allowing players more ways to personalize their avatars and contribute to the game's ongoing development.
