World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering an unprecedented seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. This extended event provides ample opportunities to earn a wealth of rewards, including a substantial experience boost and a plethora of Timewarped Badges.
This isn't your average Timewalking event. Building on the success of the September 2023 iteration, which featured five weeks of Timewalking, this expanded version offers even more chances to earn the coveted Mastery of Timeways buff. Achieving this buff by completing four Timewalking dungeons unlocks a powerful 20% experience boost.
The Grand Prize: Timely Buzzbee Mount
For those dedicated enough to secure Mastery of Timeways for at least five out of the seven weeks, the highly sought-after Timely Buzzbee mount awaits as a reward for completing the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement.
Event Schedule:
The Timewalking campaigns will cycle through the following expansions:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
More Than Just a Buff:
Beyond the experience boost, Timewalking vendors for each expansion will offer new permanent items. The Classic vendor, for example, stocks Season of Discovery transmogs. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously available only during the September event, makes a return. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will reward players with Heroic gear throughout the duration of the Turbulent Timeways.
A Busy Start to 2025:
With the recent conclusion of the 20th-anniversary event (featuring 11 weeks of Timewalking!), and the ongoing Plunderstorm event, players will have enjoyed a staggering 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking by the time Turbulent Timeways ends. The event's February 24th conclusion date also hints at Blizzard's plans, strongly suggesting a February 25th release for World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," aligning with their typical release schedule. This, coupled with the second run of Plunderstorm and the upcoming War Within update, promises a thrilling start to 2025 for World of Warcraft players.
