Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially confirmed to Game File that the live-action Driver series, previously slated for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, is no longer in production. The initial announcement in 2021 highlighted Ubisoft's ambition to expand its gaming franchises into new media, as stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik.

The project's demise stems from the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a Ubisoft subsidiary involved in film projects, in January of this year. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File that the partnership with Binge for the Driver series has been terminated.

However, Ubisoft has provided reassuring news for Driver enthusiasts. The company emphasizes its continued commitment to the franchise, stating that it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise."
