Turtle Beach is Ending Its Partnership With Dr Disrespect

Following recent allegations surrounding his 2020 Twitch ban, Turtle Beach has severed its partnership with Dr Disrespect. The gaming accessory company had a long-standing relationship with the streamer, including a collaborative headset.

The allegations, stemming from a former Twitch employee, Cody Conners, claim Dr Disrespect engaged in inappropriate conduct involving a minor via Twitch's Whispers feature. These claims, while vehemently denied by Dr Disrespect, prompted Turtle Beach to end its association. The company's official website no longer features Dr Disrespect merchandise. This decision follows a similar move by Midnight Society, a game studio co-founded by Dr Disrespect, earlier this week. Midnight Society cited a reassessment of the situation and a departure from their initial assumption of Dr Disrespect's innocence.

Dr Disrespect continues to deny any wrongdoing, asserting the matter was resolved with Twitch in 2020. He has also announced a temporary break from streaming, potentially extending his planned vacation in light of the current controversy. The duration of his hiatus and future plans remain unclear.
