Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, I'm moving on to new adventures. But before I go, let's celebrate with one last look at the week's gaming news!
Reviews & Mini-Views
Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)
Imagineer's Fitness Boxing series continues with a collaboration featuring Hatsune Miku. This Joy-Con-only title combines boxing and rhythm game mechanics for a fun workout. It includes Miku-specific song modes, difficulty options, free training, and cosmetic unlocks. While the music is great, the main instructor's voice is a bit jarring. Best used as part of a broader fitness routine rather than a standalone solution.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 -Mikhail Madnani
Magical Delicacy ($24.99)
Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. The exploration is well-executed, but inventory management and UI could use improvement. The pixel art and music are stunning, and the game includes helpful accessibility options. While enjoyable, some quality-of-life updates would elevate it further. Plays well on Switch, even better in handheld mode.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 -Mikhail Madnani
Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)
A polished sequel to the original Aero The Acro-Bat, this release features an improved presentation compared to typical Ratalaika emulations. Includes bonus features like box scans, achievements, and a gallery. The Super NES version is included, but a Mega Drive version would have been a nice addition. A solid platformer for fans of the genre and the original game.
SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5 -Shaun
Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)
A prequel to the original Metro Quester, this expansion-like title features a new dungeon in Osaka, new characters, and new challenges. Retains the satisfying turn-based combat and top-down exploration of its predecessor. Requires patience and strategic planning. A great addition for fans of the original.
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5 -Shaun
