EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is officially being discontinued. After a twelve-year run, the game, initially released in 2012 on the App Store and 2013 on Google Play, will be saying goodbye.
The Shutdown Timeline:
In-app purchases are already unavailable. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. However, players can continue enjoying Springfield until January 24th, 2025, when the servers will shut down permanently. EA expressed gratitude to players for their decade-long support in the farewell announcement.

This city-building game allows you to create your own version of the iconic town, featuring all your favorite characters, from Homer's antics to Marge's wisdom, Lisa's intelligence, and even Bart's mischief. You can even unlock characters like Fat Tony and costumes like Daredevil Bart, expand to Springfield Heights, and manage the Kwik-E-Mart.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a freemium game, frequently updated with content tied to the show and real-world events. While the game itself is free, in-game donuts are the key to accelerating progress.
