Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage – A Roguelike Deck-Builder Sets Sail in 2025
Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel to their 2019 hit, Pirates Outlaws, is on the horizon. Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, a roguelike deck-building game, promises enhanced features and gameplay improvements upon its predecessor. A full release is slated for 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
An open beta test is currently underway on Steam, running from October 25th to 31st. Mobile players will need to wait a little longer for their chance to experience the updated gameplay. Before embarking on this new seafaring adventure, let's delve into the exciting changes.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
This sequel introduces a fresh protagonist with a backstory set years after the events of the original game. Players will begin with pre-constructed decks and unique ability cards. However, the innovations don't stop there.
- Companions: Introduce unique cards to your deck, adding strategic depth.
- Card Fusion: Combine three identical cards to create a more powerful card.
- Evolution Tree: Customize your deck's progression through an upgrade system, making previously discarded cards valuable.
- Relic Acquisition: Relics are no longer guaranteed after each battle. Discover them in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.
- Countdown Battle System: A new countdown mechanic alters enemy actions and replaces the "End Turn" button with a "ReDraw" mechanic.
- Enhanced Armor and Shield System: A revamped system adds another layer of strategic depth to combat.
