A Perfect Day Pocket – Go back to 1999, a new Android title from Littoral Games, offers a nostalgic trip to 1999. Fans of their previous titles, Growing Up and Chinese Parents, will appreciate the familiar cozy atmosphere and similar watercolor art style. The visuals alone effectively convey the game's narrative.
For a limited time, from February 27th to March 5th, A Perfect Day Pocket is priced at $1.99. Afterward, the price increases to $2.99. Pre-registered players can claim a Panda Quake Mini 4WD by visiting Brother Cao in the game's Youth Palace. A limited-time Easter egg, the Old Uniform, is available in 'My Bedroom' until March 26th.
The Story:
As the title suggests, you relive December 31st, 1999, in a time-loop puzzle. Playing as an elementary schoolboy, you navigate seven time segments, interact with eleven main characters, and utilize twenty event cards to unravel secrets and help everyone achieve their "perfect day." One free DLC is also included.
Gameplay:
The game revolves around memories, regrets, and the consequences of choices. You revisit childhood friendships, explore the lives of your parents, and make decisions that alter the story's progression. The interconnected narrative allows for multiple outcomes as you replay the same day.
Several mini-games, including a Mini 4WD race, a Gamicom console, and an arcade, add to the 90s gaming nostalgia. The blend of interactive storytelling and evocative visuals makes this a compelling experience.
