Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1's recent video releases have generated significant buzz. Yesterday's esports trailer included a brief glimpse of the T-1000, but this iconic Terminator isn't the next DLC character. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, with a gameplay trailer released today showcasing his brutal fighting style.

Conan's design clearly reflects his established archetype: a powerful, albeit less agile, powerhouse. His attacks appear devastating, potentially offsetting his lack of speed with extended sword reach. Matchups against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be particularly intriguing to witness.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. His acid-drowning technique, while effective, feels somewhat underwhelming in terms of visual impact. However, the overall gameplay experience with Conan promises to be entertaining, regardless of the fatality's relative simplicity.

Premium edition owners gain early access, playing as Conan next Tuesday. All other players must wait until January 28th.
