Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset
Recent confusion surrounded a potential rank reset in the upcoming Marvel Rivals update. Let's clarify: there will be no mid-season rank reset for Season 1.
Initially, a mid-season rank reset was planned for February 21st, 2025, coinciding with the release of The Thing and Human Torch. However, due to significant player feedback expressing concerns about the frequency of resets, NetEase Games reversed this decision.
The developers announced that players will retain their current ranks and scores. To earn new rewards (including a Gold rank costume and Crests of Honor), players simply need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet specific conditions by the end of the season. This positive response to player feedback demonstrates NetEase's commitment to community engagement.
Season 1 Mid-Season Update Details:
Beyond the cancellation of the rank reset, the mid-season update introduces The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. Specific character balance adjustments (buffs and nerfs) haven't been detailed yet.
Marvel Rivals is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
