In the Marvel Rivals files, dataminers have found a fight with a kraken and a new mode

Leaked Marvel Rivals game files reveal upcoming PvE content featuring a boss battle against a kraken. Dataminer X0X_Leaks discovered the kraken model, which currently possesses animations but lacks high-resolution textures. X0X_Leaks demonstrated the kraken's potential in-game size using existing game parameters.

Separately, Marvel Rivals announced a major Spring Festival event commencing this Thursday. This event introduces a unique 3v3 game mode, "Clash of Dancing Lions," where teams compete to score a ball into the opposing goal. The mode bears a strong resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball, and by extension, Rocket League.

This similarity is noteworthy given Marvel Rivals' apparent attempt to establish its own identity distinct from Overwatch. While the Spring Festival event's core gameplay mirrors an earlier Overwatch event, Marvel Rivals incorporates a distinct Chinese cultural theme, differentiating it from Overwatch's Olympic Games-themed counterpart.
