Bethesda's acclaimed voice actor, Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered critically ill in his hotel room last week, prompting a family appeal for support.
According to PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover mounting medical bills and living expenses during his incapacitation. The campaign states that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.
The situation unfolded after Johnson, who had volunteered to host a benefit for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd, failed to appear. His wife, unable to reach him, contacted hotel security, who found him unconscious and barely alive. Emergency responders struggled to detect a pulse.
His significant contributions to Bethesda's video game universe include memorable performances as Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
