NieR: Automata Resource Management: Farming Dented Plates
While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains consistently high. Dented Plates, a frequently required component, might seem common, but efficient farming methods are crucial for accumulating the large quantities needed.
Optimal Farming Locations for Dented Plates
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Biped (all variants)
- Small Flyer (all variants)
- Small Sphere (all variants)
These basic enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on respawning enemies via fast travel is inefficient.
The most effective farming spot is the arena where Adam is first encountered in the main storyline.
- Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
- Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit.
- Continuously eliminate the endlessly spawning machines. Small Bipeds are the most frequent enemy type. Even lower-level enemies here offer a decent drop rate for Dented Plates. This location is also beneficial for Titanium Alloy farming.
Alternative Farming Locations
For a less concentrated approach:
- The Forest Kingdom features numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. These groups typically yield at least one Dented Plate. This area also provides opportunities to collect Beast Hide.
- Higher-level Bipeds boast a higher Dented Plate drop rate. Progressing through the story increases your chances of encountering these stronger enemies.
Increasing Drop Rates
Equipping drop-rate enhancing plug-in chips significantly improves your yield. Remember to avoid death, as this results in permanent chip loss.
