Albion Online's Rogue Frontier Update: Embrace the Outlaw Life
Albion Online kicks off 2025 with its first major update, Rogue Frontier, a thrilling expansion centered around living on the edge. This update introduces a brand-new faction, innovative trading mechanics, and powerful new weapons. Players can now join a clandestine network of rebels forging their own path.
Smugglers Take Over Albion
The Smugglers, a group of outlaws who rejected the Royal Continent's strictures, have established a presence in the untamed Outlands. They've created hidden bases known as Smuggler's Dens, offering players a haven to store loot and engage in illicit activities.
These dens provide essential services, including banks, repair stations, and travel planners. They're also integral to the Smuggler's Network, a revolutionary trading system that bypasses Royal Continent taxes and restrictions, albeit at a cost to the Smugglers. Players can earn Smuggler's Coins by completing faction missions, such as recovering stolen crates or rescuing captured Smugglers from Royal Guards, thus increasing their standing within the faction.
Beyond the Smugglers: New Features and Weapons
Rogue Frontier isn't just about smuggling. The update also includes highly requested features:
- Bank Overview: A centralized system to track all your stored items across the game world.
- Kill Trophies: PvP players can now commemorate their victories with trophies.
- Albion Journal Creatures Category: A new challenge to document the diverse creatures inhabiting Albion's wilds.
- Three New Crystal Weapons: Tailored for explorers, traders, and fighters.
