The Evil Genius series may get a new game

Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion, has hinted at the potential for an Evil Genius 3, though he's not ready to make any official announcements just yet. The franchise is dear to him, and he's currently pondering innovative ways to elevate it further. Kingsley sees the theme of world domination expanding beyond the traditional base-building simulator genre into other strategic formats. While no specific projects have been confirmed, the team at Rebellion is buzzing with ideas for the franchise's future.

When Evil Genius 2 launched in 2021, it garnered "mostly positive" reviews from critics on Metacritic. However, the reception among everyday players was less enthusiastic. Despite the sequel's enhanced graphics and efforts to rectify issues from the original, it didn't meet the expectations of many fans. Players expressed dissatisfaction with the global map, the handling of minions, and the overall degradation of various game elements compared to the first Evil Genius.
